Age and alcohol policy
- Where's Beer? is intended for adults 18+ and is not designed for children.
- The app does not sell alcohol, deliver alcohol, or offer discounts, coupons, or promotions for alcohol.
- Users are responsible for following local laws.
Data we collect or process
- Location data, when you start or use an active hunt, to calculate direction and distance and to find nearby beer-related places.
- Player profile data, such as nickname, player identifier, authentication token, app settings, and recovery status.
- Gameplay data, such as found places, points, ranking position, timestamps, and repeat-find preferences.
- Optional user content, such as text or photos that you choose to submit after finding a place.
- Technical and operational data, such as logs needed for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
Camera and photos
- Camera and photo library access are used only when you choose to take or select a photo.
- Submitting a photo is optional.
- Public posts and photos may be reviewed before publication and may be rejected or removed.
How we use data
- To provide the core game features, including location-based search, direction, distance, found places, profile recovery, and ranking.
- To moderate public content and prevent abuse, spam, cheating, and unsafe use.
- To maintain, secure, debug, and improve service reliability.
- To respond to support, privacy, content report, and deletion requests.
Sharing of data
- We do not sell personal data.
- We may use service providers only as needed to host, operate, secure, and maintain the app.
- Place search may use third-party place data providers to return nearby beer-related places.
- We may disclose data if required by law, legal process, or to protect users, the service, or the public.
Security
- We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Retention
- Player profile, gameplay, found places, and ranking data are kept while needed to provide the game features.
- Optional posts and photos may be kept until deleted, rejected, removed, or no longer needed for moderation and service operation.
- Operational logs may be retained for a limited time for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
- Some data may be retained when required for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Deletion requests
- You may request deletion of your data by contacting support@pointhunter.org.
- Please include your nickname and any non-sensitive details that can help identify your player profile.
- Do not send your full recovery code unless support specifically asks for it.
Ads and tracking
- The current version does not use ads or cross-app tracking.
- If this changes, this Privacy Policy and store disclosures will be updated.
